2003 Cesar Chavez Hispanic Pride Day Parade

March 8, 2003 SDHP Participated in the Cesar Chavez Parade. We have been involved in the parade for three years now. And this year many of the on lookers where shouting "VIVA SEGUIN", "VIVA TEJAS" SDHP feels that with the efforts of all of our volunteers the word of his accomplishments is getting out. SDHP would like to thank our supporters for their help and contributions to the memory of our ancestor such as A. C. Collins Ford in Pasadena TX, Kinko's in Pasadena TX, George Poe's Fairmont Jewelry Pasadena TX, Mike Torres, Joseph Van Zant, and the many young men And women from Cesar Chavez High School who volunteer their time to our organization with it's many projects. We wish these dedicated young people great success in the future. SDHP Presented Congressman Gene Green with a portrait of Col. Juan N. Seguin for his office here in Houston TX, Congressman Green informed us several days before about the new Resolution that he has asked his colleagues to support H. RES 12, asking the stamp advisory committee to issue a postage stamp in honor of our ancestor. As of that day we have been getting signatures on our petition and we have an on line petition which can be viewed at link below. We also presented A.C Collins Ford, and George Poe's Farimont Jewelry with a portrait of Col. Juan N. Seguin, again to all many thanks for without you the organization would not work as well.
