2002 Cesar Chavez Parade.
SDHP would like to thank A.C Collins ford in Pasadena for sponsoring the Mustang Convertable, for the Cesar Chavez Parade. Their staff was great to deal with they were only given a short notice but still they were able to supply us a car. We also would like to thank all the Members of SDHP from Third Coast Auto for contacting A.C Collins Ford on our behalf. We would like to thank our family members who joined us on this wonderful day. There are numerous members who supplied us with there talents. Again, many thanks to all.

04/06/2002. The Cesar Chavez Parade was great we where instrumental in getting Texas EquuSearch in the Cesar Chavez parade this year. This Organization was able to provide 300 children with Finger Printing and DNA Kits. SDHP had the Honor of Having the niece of Cesar Chavez. Maria Ellena Chavez ride in the Convertable with Linda Seguin Garcia, Raiden M Torres, Loretta Williams, Lisa Salinas, Also Participating Loretta Garcia, Joseph Caten, Marie Leyva, Ruth Ramirez, Brandon Ramirez, Richard Duran, Alberto Duran, Crystal Salinas, Shannon, All Members of SDHP in the Parade. She was a very lovely person she talked about how her Uncle Cesar worked to see everyone that worked in the fields were treated with equality and fairness. Cesar chavez was a leader in Human Rights. We all have had the honor to be a part of the parades because of our ancestors great feats such as fighting for all our freedoms. This is what the niece of Cesar Chavez said."I think it is really a beautiful thing. I feel really honored to be here to see the community pulling together and remembering him on this day," said Maria Elena Chavez of Bakersfield, Calif. who came to Houston for the event. Thanks to all the Members that participated in the Information Booth. Joseph Van Zandt, Nichol Torres, Crystal Salinas, Shannon, Steven Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, Our Goal Is to Be able to Promote Knowledge of Our Ancestors History, and to Find Other Tejano Heroes, That have been Forgotten In Texas History. Our Organization Beliefs that we all should work together to Promote our Hispanic Ancestors and their Accomplishments.
